Where the Last Butterfly Beat Its Wings

Poem

You aren't forgotten. Your name is muttered like a secret, the formation of the vowels syrupy sweet. Love is woven into stories about who you are, where you’ve been. Your tyre marks still stain the road. We know dance somewhere in the wilds where the last butterfly beat its wings.
