Got a job offer in Netherlands, would it make financial sense to go?
Hey guys,
So I got offered a job from a Netherlands company that's willing to pay me EUR54,000/pa. That amounts to ~EUR4200 a month (with the 30% ruling), they will be paying for all the relocation expenses. My currently salary is around R80k a month and here's around R30k. So I will be heading to Netherlands with my wife so lets assume she won't be having a job for around 6 months. I am currently a senior Java developer and the role is also a Senior Java developer.
Financially does that make sense? I managed to paid of most of debts (only have car debt left) and got a decent amount of savings as well. Which I would have to probably dip into when I'm there. It seems like a bad move for me since I won't be able to save as much as I would be here. But then again Netherlands might be more stable than SA, or at least I'm assuming that.
So what do you guys think on this?
