AITAH in this deal?
Last night my wife and I were sitting at the table and she said she really wanted some fried chicken. (This was a couple hours after dinner) She then said, “I’ll give you a bj if you run out and get me some.” I jumped right on that opportunity. Asked where she wanted it from, what kind, any sauces and then immediately ran out and got it. She was super happy and ate it right up.
Now, when it came to her turn to fulfill her part of the deal she asked, “You’re going to get me after you finished, right?” I said, “That wasn’t part of the deal.” She replied “What do you mean it wasn’t part of the deal? Why would you think that I don’t want to get off too?” I said, “The deal was I run out and get you chicken and you give me a bj. There was no mention of reciprocation and therefore was not part of the deal. Also, asking if you were going to receive back after the fact tells me that you at least had the thought that it wasn’t part of the deal.”
She then got mad and said, “ I would have just got the chicken myself if I knew I wasn’t getting anything back.” I told her I would still do it, I just wanted her to know it wasn’t what the deal was. At this point she was just mad and no longer wanted it. She still held up her part but was obviously doing it begrudgingly.
So AITAH?
