[Discussion] What's the reason behind the Twitch drops expiring exactly?

The same thing was happening last wipe and it really doesn't make any sense. If I start watching a streamer of my preference halfway through the stream and this causes the drop period to come to an end before I get all the drops, then I just completely lose the ability to continue getting progress to the drop even if I change to another stream.

You have to basically be ready to jump into the stream as soon as a streamer goes online and still hope that they will stream long enough for you to get all the drops, but it's not always easy to fit that in someone's schedule.
