Slime-like contamination + initial Trich
I have a question for both contamination as well as how to get this cake to fruit. Images are high resolution, so you can open them and zoom quite a bit.
The mushrooms I'm growing apparently fruit in autumn when temperatures consistently drop around 50-62 Fahrenheit or 10–18 °C. I've soaked this cake for 24 hours already and have been misting and fanning for around 3 days now. However, the lowest I can get my room is about 64 Fahrenheit with AC on full blast.
Instead of misting, could I grind some ice up in a blender and sprinkle "snow" onto the cake to drop its temperature to mimic morning autumn frost?
As far as the contamination, I did see a very miniscule amount of green on the top and bottom left corners of the cake. I hit it with 12% hydrogen peroxide mist and it's more or less disappeared for now, but I'm hoping to get the cake to fruit before it comes back. Since Trich needs higher temperatures, I'm hoping the cold environment keeps it at bay.
There's also this slimy mass that I didn't spray because I'm not exactly sure what it is.
