Selling the wedding rings my grandmother gave me. Yes, I know it's disrespectful. Trigger warning for sexual abuse ⚠️

I have a pretty fucked up background, if I'm being honest. Seriously, I'm giving a MAJOR trigger warning for pedophilia mentioned in my story. My grandmother and her sister were SA'd by their older brother as young children.

Yet, my grandmother actively allowed him around lots of children. I remember how I used to often hug him, too. As someone who's also a survivor of childhood SA, I felt very enraged by this information. I never even learned any of this until after his recent death in 2022.

Even after his death, she talked about him like he was a tnormal person.

Last year, my grandmother gifted me the wedding rings that my grandfather bought for them years ago. She also gifted me some historical coins and I'll sell those.

People have said that maybe I should gift them to other family members, but I am NOT taking this level of disrespect from my grandmother.
