Need help with Nier Replicant save name

Hey there. I need help with my translated copy of Nier Replicant for PS3; long story short, when you go to name the character, it only allows use of the Japanese keyboard. Because of the translation patch, my character would be the only one with a kanji/katakana name, which really bugs me.

I have my game also ripped to my PC, and in RPCS3 I was able to make a save with the name "Nier" but I cannot get this save onto my PS3 (with ps3hen) without the save appearing corrupt. I've tried using Apollo (crashes so much more than any piece of homebrew I've ever seen, holy shit) and Bruteforce but no luck.

Any advice?
