Speedometer and rpm gauge not working...?

So I have a peugeot 207 and I got in it to drive it today and both the rpm and speedometer dials were not working, this isn't the first time its happened, its happened a few times before but corrected itself when I stopped and started it again.

Today was actually the first time the RPM dial didn't work, before it was only the speedometer, also sometimes the speedometer worked but it was as if their was a lag, I was going faster than it was showing if you no what I mean, like the dial was too slow to match the speed I was doing.

Any advice on what this could potentially be?
