To calculate upcoming jackpot prizes, we only need to use the GROWTH function of Excel.
Create a Column (F6:F19) where the incremental difference of jackpot prizes are listed. Sample:
- F6=D6-D5
- F7=D7-D6
- and so forth
These will be the first argument of the function GROWTH in F20.
The second argument are the dates (C6:C19) parallel to the incremental column.
The third argument are the future dates (C20:C24).
Note: There should be no holiday (no lotto draw) that skip the dates, otherwise the trends would be inaccurate.
- F20=GROWTH(F6:F19,C6:C19,C20:C24)
- F21 to F24 will be fill automatically
Now that the Increments column is completed, we can now add them to the most recent jackpot prize:
- D20=D19+F20
- D21=D20+F21
- D22=D21+F22
- D23=D22+F23
- D24=D23+F24

The error rate of this estimation is about 0.36% error rate. So it is very accurate.
Actually, kagabi ko lang nalaman itong function. LOL. My previous estimation is a bit far more complicated and not as accurate as this one. So I'm sharing it, kasi natuwa ako.
