AITAH for not wanting to change my way of living to satisfy my girlfriend's parents?

I 24m make quite a bit of money for myself, and I am pretty money smart(thanks mom and dad), so I'm securing my future and a nice early retirement if I so desire, my girlfriend and her family on the other hand, are a pretty typical suburban lower middle class family that believes in putting down roots and building a big family, you know the drill.

Recently me and my girlfriend have been talking about moving in together, thing is apparently things got heated at her family's home when they heard of this, apparently this is mostly due to the fact that their family kinda, to put it bluntly, despises my lifestyle.

For reference, despite making quite a lot of money, instead of buying a place and setting down some roots I just rent myself a nice loft downtown NYC(purely for preference, not the smartest I know) and spend a month abroad every 3 months or so. Just fuck off to wherever I feel like at the time and spend a month there, repeat every 3 months or so. This is all done with my fun money and I am financially responsible otherwise. Her family hates this and hates the fact that she's not only ok with me living like this but that she wants to live with me.

She asked if I was willing to slow down a bit so her family would get off her back for moving in with me, I said I was not willing, living my life the way I see fit is the most important thing in the world for me and I'm willing to share those experiences with her, but not willing to forgo them for what someone else thinks I should be doing.

She's quite upset, no big blowouts or anything of the sorts, just wondering if I was TA for refusing? Mind you that even if I am TA, at best I would breakup to keep living like I feel like and unburden her from me. I'm not slowing down anytime soon. I do love her, a lot, and I want to share the world with her, but I only got one life and a whole planet to see, for me nothing is worth sacrificing that.
