Potential HC replacement

Football

I’ve been seeing a lot of talk today about potential replacements for CBN, and I’ve seen several ideas I liked, such as Golesh from USF and Jedd Fisch, but I haven’t seen two options show up that I think could be interesting options for the Gators at head coach.

Option 1. Gus Malzahn: I thought of this today while at work, why take a chance on a G5 coach or the other options that have been thrown around and not a coach who has won a national championship, coached in the SEC with success, has been coaching in Florida so he knows the recruiting landscape and he runs a style of offense that would fit well for the future with Lagway’s skill set.

Option 2: Ryan Day, now I think this would be much less likely. But, the way I’ve heard OSU fans talk about him they may want him gone if he loses to Michigan again. Granted he hasn’t had a lot of success in the playoffs, but at least he is getting there which we haven’t sniffed since Trask and Co. I feel like I’ve seen someone talk about him about being a replacement and I think it’s a long shot but in a way think could be more likely than a Jedd fisch who just started at Washington.

Let me know what you think, this is more food for thought not really to shoot down any other coach ideas people have said. Just hadn’t heard much about the two I mentioned.
