Is this actually normal findings for a head CT of a 36F?
Preface this with these results were not in my CT report for the 1 done last June. So very surprised with this August's report. I can't find anywhere stating this is normal for calcification to be in someone under 40. Neurology said it's normal and seen all of the time.
No infarct, intracranial hemorrhage, mass, mass effect or extra-axial fluid collections apparent. Diffuse increased density is seen in the right globus pallidus region. This was present on the previous exam. There are ad ditional lesser basal ganglia calcifications bilaterally. Physiological calcification is suspected. The calvarium has a normal appearance. There is questionably a tiny amount of mucosal thickening in the posterior right sphenoid sinus versus volume averaging artifact. Paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are otherwise normally aerated
