Tickets received but they appear to be promo tickets…what do I do now?
Hoping someone out there might be able to offer some guidance here. Today I bought tickets for one of the Eras Tour dates in Toronto. Once I added the tickets to my Ticketmaster account following the purchase, I noticed that they are clearly labeled “RBC Offer” at the top. Curious, I clicked through to the detailed ticket info, where it became clear to me that they are promo tickets. I’m not 100% sure where they came from, but some cursory googling suggests that it was a rewards member contest run by the Royal Bank of Canada, specific to Canadian residents (which I am not), and as far as I can tell, the tickets were meant to be non-transferable. So now I’m a bit at a loss. I absolutely cannot risk showing up there and being turned away, I bought these to replace the tickets I had to take my daughter to one of the cancelled Vienna shows and I really need to do everything in my power to not break her heart a second time. I’m just not really sure where to start to deal with this and how to approach the conversation. Suggestions would be welcome.
