**Aneko Yui** wasn't just my first cat, she was the perfect queen of our litle cat hierarchy. She always had it in her—this mazing way of welcoming other cats... as she have met more that 30 foster cats, she loved them like they're from one single litter as she also keep the peace in our home. Her nurturing spirit was unmatched, and everyone loved her and respected her as thier big sister.

Yet the most incredible part of Yui's story is how she gave birth to a size of slightly bigger 6 kittens, though we lost one at birth. She raised her 5 little ones ~ despite the heartbreak, she poured all her energy into raising and guiding them until they were strong enough to manage on their own. It felt as though, once they were ready, her own journey was complete. Quietly, she left us soon after.

I’m sharing these **photos from her one and only birthday,** where I planned her to be a coquette—as she wore a purple ribbon that compliments her hazel eyes. We spent her special day exploring a garden for the first time. It was a moment I’ll never forget—she seemed so peaceful in that sea of green. I can’t help but feel that she knew her time was limited, and so she gave everything she had to those she loved.

*Yui was the strongest, most loving cat I’ve ever met. She earned her title as our queen in our little cat hierarchy, and I’ll never forget all the sacrifices and love she have shared to us. She gave it her all, right to the very end.*
