With the recent announcement regarding Section 21, just wondering how it would affect me?

I've been served a section 21 and have until the end of September, the landlord is essentially selling as I didn't maintain the grass.. and then he offered me the house and because I couldn't get it done by October 1st, he's evicting me, will this ruling impact me?

Obviously after the section 21 is up, he'll have to get a court ruling to remove me and we're looking for properties but just wondering if this changes my circumstances?
