Concert Advice for American Airlines Arena

so the Killers are coming down 08/17 - and being that they are my girlfriend's favorite band, I need to purchase some tickets.

I found some floor seats on craigs list and other ticket resale websites, but they're ~$150. I've found lower-level seats for half that, or more.

My question is, should I just shell out the $150/each for the floor seats? I know the energy is going to be better on the floor, and that's where I'd rather be during the show. Will it be possible to buy tickets elsewhere and then migrate to the floor?

I've never been to a concert at AAA, so I'm hoping reddit has more experience and wisdom to share with me.

I recommend checking Stubhub constantly. As the date approaches, you're more likely to have folks cancel and put their tickets up for sale, so don't panic and buy the tickets now.

And if not StubHub, Craigslist. I know for a lot of people that's too sketchy, but it's been a long, long time since I've been to any event (festival, concert, or musical) where I haven't gotten the ticket really cheap from someone who suddenly couldn't go and sold it desperately on Craigslist.

Check about a week or two before. Obviously you're cutting it close, but that's around the time things come up for people or they decide they can't go.

Well I got floor tickets. I usually prefer to be in the crowd closer to the front.

If you don't mind me asking, about how much did those seats run you? I see them for ~$115/piece on stubhub now. I'm going to wait it out, but I'm wondering around where my target price should be.

Originally the price was supposed to be about $65 but with all of Ticketmaster's bullshit fees it wound up being about $80.

You're better off being on a lower level with the height advantage, versus the floor. Most of these events won't allow seat changes either.

I always thought the floor would be best because you're closer and I feel like there would be more energy. I know they won't "allow" seat changes, I was just wondering if it's possible to get to the floor if you have actual seats.
