Anyone able to solve problems but still have no idea what they’re doing

I find myself in some weird state where I can solve my physics problems most of the time on autopilot but somehow if you asked me to explain what I’m doing I would struggle. I also find myself being scared of forgetting how to do everything come exam time, although we haven’t had one yet so I don’t know if I actually will forget it all or zone out and solve everything like I do with the practice problems. Can anyone relate? What do you do in this situation?
