Applying only to be told to apply again.

Why do these companies post a job on indeed and put me through the application on there only to message me and tell me I need to apply through their website instead? I already gave you a resume, answered your questions, and you are clearly interested. Why annoy candidates by telling them to apply again for further consideration?
