Keloid? No seriously..
Hi!! I know that a lot of people will mistake an irritation bump for a keloid, but i have some reasonable doubt about why i think it’s not a piercing bump. here’s some background info:
•I’ve had my nose pierced for about… 2 years? •It was pierced with a corkscrew shaped nose stud and i’ve actually never changed it •The first time i had my nose pierced i developed a piercing bump and i thought it was a keloid so i took it out. after it went down i decided to get it pierced again on the same side.. that’s when i started developing star tissue on the inside of my nose. •The ‘keloid’ seems to fluctuate in size, sometimes smaller, if irritated it’s bigger. •It’s hard, the color is the same color as my skin with a hint of pink. •It’s been there for quite awhile as i’ve put off making any appointments to get it looked at •I do have some weird scarring that runs in the family. i currently have a scar that is raised from scraping it on pavement pretty bad a few years back.
What i’m hoping to get from this post is just some advice, opinions on the matter.. really anything!
If you read this whole thing, then thanks!! 😊
