Can you play a normal campaign except Lightfall and Final shape?

So i just came back from a HUGE Destiny 2 break and was wonderin if im still able to play any campaign after Forsaken the "normal way". What i mean by "normal way" is like now you can just get a lil recap on the forsaken story with like 2 short missions and a little video, when back then you had hours of story and many missions. I just wanna experience it all since i bought the dlcs
