My OD didn't show up on my toxicology reports
What can cause medication to not show up on a toxicology report?
I've been researching it but so far I haven't found any causes that make sense for me.
I just want to preface this with a trigger warning for S@ICID3‼️‼️ (don't know if I need to sensor the word sorry).
In May I made an attempt on my life by medication OD with Ativan. It did not show up on my toxicology report. I was tested only about 4 hours after taking the medication and the test was repeated a few times daily.
The doctors genuinely accused me of faking and lying even though I have distinct memory of taking the medication in a large amount and I was unconscious for 3 days vomiting in the hospital with my roommate as a witness. My toxicology did not come up positive for any medication the entire week stay in the hospital. I was treated horribly by the medical staff and I had wounds that were completely neglected the 3 days while I was unconscious and became pretty badly infected because I was labled a faker.
I have many chronic illnesses. Is it possible for POTS, Endometriosis, or Interstitial Cystitis to make you metabolize medication faster so that it would not show up on a toxicology report?
I have also had genesight testing done and I am not a rapid metabolizer of Ativan.
My Cardiologist is unsure if the negative toxicology report was caused by POTS.
I'm wondering if anyone has some articles/research about this as well. TIA
