Ajovy autoinjector to Ajovy syringe mix-up

Hey, first time posting here. I find it comforting to read posts on this subreddit especially as it pertains to auto-injectors and just living with and through chronic migraines. I was recently bumped off Emgality autoinjector due to pharmacy constraints on my particular insurance. So, the doc switched me to the Ajovy autoinjector. I have a fear of needles and particularly this fear of the clicks associated with each injectable type I've had so far. That being said, my first dose of Ajovy was administered in office and it was an autoinjector style. The two clicks with Ajovy were not my favorite but I'm receptive to this medication (both Emgality and Ajovy) and live WAYY better on it. So, I will do it through my phobia. Doc said my future doses should arrive at my home through my pharmacy. I get the delivery and wait for my monthly shot date to come along. Today, I go through my little pre-shot ritual: lidocaine, icing the area, calm music. The works. So, when I open the box, to my very big surprise, it was a syringe. Why did I not check the box at delivery?! Anyway, after a brief, big panic, I managed to dart the syringe and take the plunge. It wasn't without some tears just out of shock and and anger but overall, the syringe was much much easier to administer than the scary clicks of the autoinjector. I don't know where the mix-up happened but I'll look into it soon after a treat yourself moment today.
