The Prosecutor (Townsfolk)
This is my homebrew and I wanted to hear some thoughts and feedback.
Prosecutor: You start knowing a number. If you nominate that number of townsfolk, tonight learn the Demon. Evil knows you are in play. You can't nominate someone twice.
The Prosecutor accuses their friends in order to learn the demon.
I will explain how it works. On the first night the storyteller has the job to give a balanced number to the Prosecutor. This number is based on: •player and Outsider count •game state (like with General) •number of nights and days a game is going to last (on a BMR type of script) •the fact that the Prosecutor reaches their goal in 15-40% of games (maybe less), similarly to AlSaahir •the fact that they can nominate themselves(altough is very attention drawing)
Some number examples are: -in a 9 player game of TB that usually lasts 4 days, I would give a 2 or a 3 if the Good team is powerfull -in a 15 player game with lots of killing power (Po, Witch, Assassin) I would give a 4-5
After the Prosecutor learns the number, each day if they nominate a TF, the storyteller marks them with a "Correct" token. If they manage to reach their goal, not only they get to learn the demon, but they know that a majority of their nominees are TF (maybe all).
The evil team needs to know if a Prosecutor is in play so they can hunt them. The Prosecutor has to provide good excuses to why they are nominating Townsfolk and this social element is my favorite part of this character. I also like the counterplay evil can do. Minions can push on outsiders, or make themselves sus so that they get nominated by the Prosecutor. Also if a Prosecutor nominates early game an evil, late game they can't nominate them anymore (otherwise it's considered cheating).
