lower fps after reapplying thermal paste

I had recently been having issues with my pc randomly shutting off every half hour. After asking on reddit, I decided to first try applying new thermal paste, and while that seems to have fixed my prior issue, Ive now been getting around 60-80fps in cs2 while I used to get around 150+ before I reapplied the thermal paste. My temps seem fine and the cpu and gpu usage is pretty low with cs2 open, but memory usage is very high.
