Has anybody successfully disputed a school bus ticket?

I received one in the mail today from a couple months back. I was on Broadhollow Road where I believe it's 55mph speed limit. I was in the middle lane of the 3 lane highway & a bus was stopped then randomly proceeded to open the stop sign which me & a couple other drivers kept going.

In the right line closest to the bus, a 3 car pile up almost occured with a car swerving out of the lane. After looking on the map, there is absolutely no houses or schools around & it was at 11am. If I got caught on a side road then fine, make me pay the $250 but in this instance, I feel like it's a really dumb ticket & seems dangerous to have a school bus stop on a 3 lane, 55mph highway.

Do I dispute it or just cough up the $250?
