Interested to purchase a home in scandinavia
Hi, as the title suggests, my dutch partner and I are interested in the “cheap” homes in Scandinavia. A budget of 50,000-60,000 euros.
We are aware that some might be in the rural countryside areas or almost all year winter. For context, it is much expensive to purchase a house in the Netherlands.
In this case, we would like to buy one in an area close to the borders of Germany.
What would be the pros/cons aside from that it’s hours away from the main cities & all year winter?
We work remotely so this will not affect our life drastically.
Any ideas on where to start and how to make sure we are dealing with a legitimate owner/realtor or is there a way to check things out?
How will we know if the home is an actual home and not a cabin? How will we know initially if there are issues with the land or no electricity/water?
Any advice on where to start is highly appreciated.
We are just a couple starting out and want to explore our options.
