The NRA is here, and they come bearing gifts.
You heard that right folks. The NRA is here, and they are listening to what you have to say.
About a month ago, I was contacted by an NRA rep, here on reddit. They value our opinions, and to thank us for that, I was given some NRA merch to share with you guys.
Today, I would like to give this out.
I would also like to thank the NRA, and for that, I am personally gifting a membership to someone from gunnit, as thanks to them.
Many of us have reservations about how the NRA represents us as gun owners. And, as much as we hate to admit, every gun owner has a different opinion on how things can be handled.
Over the past few months, I've had in my mind to form an alternative 2nd Amendment group, where we do things that the groups we have already, don't do. While the NRA, SAF, and other groups do very well in handling the lobby, and litigation areas, one of the ways they are severely lacking in is the grassroot campaign areas. Another way I feel could be worked on, is by actively engaging non-traditional gun owners, and non gun owners, in bringing them into the fold for the battles that lay ahead.
So, what I want to know from you gunnit today is, how can us gun owners can be better represented by our advocacy groups? What are the ways we can better represent ourselves? What are none of these groups already doing, that will have a strong impact for the future of gun rights?
A few of us are discussing how this can happen, right now. And, who knows, maybe the NRA will listen to us some more.
TL;DR: I'm giving out free stuff. Read the post, and comment appropriately.
EDIT: I'd like to thank everyone of you who made their voices heard. I'm going to be contacting some of you in the next day or two, once I go through all the comments, and deciding on who gets the stuff. If you are interested in fighting for our rights, and doing so right now, please contact me via PM.
