Noise coming from Ceiling

I have been living in independent house from last 6 months. From last month , there are squeaking noise coming from the ceiling which looks like coming from the woods but am not sure about it ,Can you please advise who should inspect this -roof inspection person or some other specialist. Am pity new to house Ownership, hence am not sure who to call to get this fixed and what can be the cause of this sound? Also any suggestions on the cost would be of great help
