Start vs end of January for Tykky in Posio/Kuusamo - and fell reccomendations in the area

Tourism

Hi :)

I'm going to visit the Posio/Kuusamo area in January or first week of February next year to see the winter landscapes. I'm planning to go to Riisirunturi, Kuntivaara and Oulanka. I'd love to see the crown snow load / Tykky trees while there, and while I know this is a weather phenomenon that cannot be guaranteed, would there be much difference in the chances of Tykky between going at the start of January vs at the end of January? Would just like to have the best chances of seeing some nice Tykky.

I ask because I noticed that most of the landscpae photography tours to the area, which have an obvious focus on Tykky, seem to go in early January, but I'd prefer to go at the end of January for more daylight, but was wondering if that might reduce the chance of Tykky.

Also, if you have any suggestions of any other fells/hills in the area (say within a 1 hour drive of Posio) with nice views which can be reasonably easily accessed from the road (say maximum 5km snowshoe hike) that would be amazing.

Thanks
