Legal advice for victims of crime (England)

Hello. I (18f) am seeking some advice because phone calls to solicitors and Internet searches haven't been helpful.

3 years ago, I was the victim of online grooming. I am considering going to the police, but am really worried about them taking my phone for months or my family finding out. Is there anywhere I can go to have the process of reporting a crime explained to me? Everywhere I've seen on criminal law only deals with the defendant side.
