[PC] [early 2000s] turn based rpg where you're some kind of amphibious creature

hi ! omg, I've been looking for this game for over 3 months now and I simply cannot find anything close to the name, it's almost like i dreamed this game up. i played it religiously when i was about 6 or 7.

if i remember correctly it was either on dragon games . com or addicting games . com. the game starts out with you in some kinda dream and the ruler of the species calling out for you to come save her. you play as this weird amphibious creature that stands on two legs and they all walk kinda hunch backed. all the creatures from the species look mostly the same although the females (i believe you play as a male?) are different colors.

game play goes something like this: you can walk across the map left or right, you can walk through the town you live in and grab supplies to be stronger (learn different moves, equip armor, get better stats, etc) and if you keep moving right you'll wind up in the wilderness where you can run into animals to fight. i believe the first thing you fight is a big ass wolf? it's a turn based fighting game and at first all you can do is slap the shit out of the wolves until you earn enough loot to get better attacks and can eventually use spells (i remember one of the spells being lightening). oh and also everytime you're character gets hit you let out this like comical 'ack!' sound.

and like halfway through the game you get on this boat to fight stronger things like crabs (also huge) but i never made it further than this because I was young and didn't understand how to level up, lol.

I'm so sorry for the long post, I'm just trying to give as much info as possible because i can barely remember the game and everyone i talk to about it as no idea what im even talking about. if anyone has any idea please let me hear them ! thank you <3
