Window snapping to maximise conflicts with Mission Control activation

With the new window snapping feature on MacOS Sequoia enabled, dragging a window to the top of the screen has two potential effects:

• Maximising the window.

• Activating Mission Control.

Have anyone found the actual difference in mouse input for each of the effects? It seems like dragging faster to the top tends to activate Mission Control instead of maximising, but this is not consistent, sometimes even if I do it slowly it activates Mission Control. Is there a particular gesture pattern that always works only for maximising?
