Should I quit my job?

So basically I work for a small business with like 4 employees including me. I repair books and add them to a system so they can be shipped out and whatnot. I’ve been working there for almost 2 months and my boss only recently started tracking my hours, but since I’m still training he only marks half of them. (So if I work 4-8 he marks 4-6) he hasn’t asked for any of my legal information or anything to set up actual payment. I have asked to get this set up but he always dismisses it for another day. My mom says I’m being taken advantage of because im a teen and dont know much about working. My mom is also dramatic so I want some outside opinions.
