[Question] Traveling to Italy in a few months…

First time traveling from US to Italy. I plan to bring a few watches with me, maybe 3 or 4… do I need to be prepared to produce receipts for customs either going or coming? Will pictures of the watches at past events suffice? Am I overthinking this?

I understand if I purchase a new watch abroad they would want to make sure I pay import taxes when going back to the US just want to make sure I avoid issues with the watches I already own.

Advice from those of you who have gone through this would be appreciated.
