Pro tip for people shopping for paints and brushes from Michaels. There's more than just the paints aisle, there is a fine arts aisle where they keep the good stuff
I just wanted to make sure people who go to Michael's are aware of this. There's more than just their crappy craft paints and synthetic brushes. They have an aisle towards the back of the store called 'fine art supplies' and its here where they keep the goods.
I always wrote Michael's off because I had bad experience with their paints... Then I discovered this aisle. Now 'good' is a relative term as you may not like the brands but I saw Golden acrylics and Liquitex and FW inks. I picked up a bunch of inks and medium to make my own speed/contrast paints and its been great.
