A few questions about wedding customs.
Assalamualaikum guys. Alhamdulillah I've got my wedding coming up soon. It's a desi wedding and I've got a few questions that are bothering me.

I've decided not to invite my friends or work colleagues. They're not bad people or anything. It's just that I want it to be a low profile, private affair. I was met with criticism from my family members saying that it is not the right way. I would like to know if it is in fact haram to do so or just unusual or inappropriate in our culture.

Desi wedding customs. I'm trying my best to keep everything halal but my family wants a few rituals to be carried out, particularly haldi and joote chupai - if you know you know. They argue that it's just innocent fun and we're not intending to do anything unislamic. Please advise me on this.

I'm aware that upon signing the contract, the husband has to hold the wife's forelock and make dua. I was under the impression that it would be (and should be) done in private. But in our family weddings, it is done in front of guests. And on stage!!! Once again, what's the permissible way of doing this?

This last one sounds nitpicky but I'm actually concerned about it. It seems some new custom has risen these days where the wedding dupatta (cloth draped over the bride's head) is being customized to have the groom's name on it. It goes like "X's bride" and "Accepted". I find this super cringe and borderline objectification but it seems people are crazy about this. Regardless of personal opinions, I would like to know if it falls under an innovation or just poor taste.
Thanks in advance and please remember me in your duas.
