Would removal of shower room devalue house?
Hi,
We currently have a house with 4 bedrooms upstairs, a family bathroom and one ensuite. Downstairs we have a lounge, wc, kitchen, utility room and a converted garage which is currently a playroom. At the back of the playroom is a small area with a stud wall with an arch which has an electric shower and a sink (no toilet). We are currently considering splitting this playroom in half so that half forms part of an open plan kitchen and the back half becomes an office. This would involve removing the shower and sink.
My question is, would removing this 'sort of ensuite' devalue the house? We've been lead to believe that it would not due to the lack of toilet and just wanted a second opinion. Anyone have any knowledge with such things?
TIA Dave
