Traveling late at night

For those who are local, would it be better for me to walk or take the subway in Midtown Manhattan at like 2am on a Friday/Saturday night?

My hotel is about halfway between the Jarvis and a few afterparties that I'll be attending, and just wanna make sure I am not stuck with an overpriced Uber if there are other options
