A catholic woman (27F) in a relationship with someone thinking of converting to Islam (26M). Any advice?

Basically what the description says. I am a renewed Catholic in a sense that I was born into the Catholic faith. However, due to my upbringing had a bit of resistance against practicing in my earlier teens-early adulthood. I started to get drawn more into the faith a few years ago when I decided to get confirmed and now want to slowly be more active in the church. I am by no means a perfect Catholic or Christian but I am trying my best in my day to day to life how I should.

Now for the boyfriend, his parents are Catholic but not necessarily active in the church (i.e. going to mass, reading the Bible, being active in the church community, etc.). He has had his phases of being atheist, then recently getting drawn to religion. When we started dating one of my questions was if he was religious, if so, what he practiced? I ask this because with my growing closer to God, I wanted to grow in faith with my partner unlike my previous relationships. He told me he was Christian and looking into being Orthodox. This was fine by me as I look at Orthodoxy as the traditional Christian religion in a way.

ANYWAYS, he’s been thinking of the idea of converting to Islam recently. He told me for the most part he is interested for how they view Allah and their sense of discipline. He assured me that outside of the well-known no-no’s like drinking alcohol and eating certain meats/foods, that our life would not change. However, we are dating seriously and to marry so this came as a shock to me. I have nothing against Islam but I saw myself marrying into the Sacrament (which you have to be at least both be Christian for), and raising my kids in the church alongside my future husband. He is a balanced man that I know he won’t try to convince or raise our children one way or the other but rather in a more open way and in a general faith of God not biased in one religion or another.

Even through this, I feel sad? I was ready to commit to a Christian man in hopes it would only bring my relationship closer to God but now I feel like I have to tackle the quirks of intrafaith relationships. I know we can still keep a God centered relationship but mentally it feels like a lot to me. Anyways, does anyone have experience or advice on this?

TLDR; boyfriend was Christian and I am Catholic but he wants to convert to Islam. I am struggling to cope and see us in an intrafaith marriage/relationship.
