Emergency advance parole
I just got approved for EAP today , it was an entire day of waiting…waiting…and more waiting.
My appointment was at 10:20 , I got there early (about 9:35). Didn’t get called back until about 12:30, then was told it was going to take about an hour or more so to go grab some lunch than come back. Came back an hour later and still waited another hour before I was finally handed my EAP for 35 days with 1 single entry.
Reason for applying: humanitarian purposes due to my aunt being sick.
Proof: had multiple hospital admissions and discharge paperwork along with a statement from the social worker stating she was currently hospitalized with no discharge date set. Along with my birth certificate, my aunts and my moms all translated (to proof we are related).
All my paperwork was translated by us (2 of my sisters also applied) and NOT notarized. We even translated all the medical documents (with help from google and AI)
I’m so glad we translated all the paperwork ourself, we saved ourselves close to 200$.
We had copies of our passport, 2 passport pictures, copies of our work permit, all the birth certificates original language and translated, hospital paperwork and letter of affidavit from ourselves.
