Is it wrong to give a gift away?

My (17m) parents just gave me a $30 Starbucks gift card for my birthday. My little sister (14f) and her friends are obsessed. I asked the girls if either of them wanted to spend it and not say anything. Sister’s best friend (14f) agreed and took my gift card and I never brought it up to my parents. Was it wrong?
