Very unpleasant situation due to insurers, need advice ASAP
So as the title says; anyway, I passed my test 3 and a bit months ago, I immediately got myself insurance from Veygo (a subsidiary of Admiral), which required me to use an a telemetry app on my phone, all was well until I received an email from Veygo telling me they are cancelling my policy from the 6th of November due to persistent high risk behaviour but did NOT specify what this high risk behaviour is, which is odd to say the least because I usually 5 star ratings for all the things they measure. I wrote them an email asking for more details regarding this cancellation but received no response whatsoever. Today is the 6th so I admitted defeat and paid for a new insurance policy from Admiral themselves (the blackbox one unfortunately which I've read dozens of horrible reviews after I had already bought and paid for it, which was £152 monthly).
Now I have just logged into my Veygo account and it says the policy is still active and will automatically extend on the 20th of November with no sign of impending cancellation. Do I risk it and wait until midnight passes, in which case they might cancel it, or do I cancel it myself now so it doesn't stick on my record for the rest of my life?
The worst part is YOU have to pay Admiral an extortionate £140 cancellation fee even if it was made the same day, and you DON'T get ANY refunds even if it was made the same day. Have I just lost £290?
Please someone tell me what I should do I'm really stressed out by this whole thing
