Combining work and studies. Is it realistic?
Hi, redditors of Finland!
I'm at a bit of a crossroads right now and could really use some advice and personal stories.
I'm thinking about making a big change in my life by getting a new degree. I’ve done some research, but I haven’t found any universities or universities of applied sciences in Finland offering fully remote programs. For context, I live independently and work to support myself, so I don’t have any additional financial support or anyone who could support me. This means I’d need to consider only on-site programs, which makes me wonder: is it realistic to work and study at the same time? Of course, I could try reducing my work hours, but I worry it wouldn’t leave me with enough to cover my living expenses. Has anyone here managed to juggle both? I’d love to hear about your experiences, any tips, or advice you can offer.
I’m still in the decision-making stage, so any input would be really appreciated. Thank you! 💙
