How soon should I do the argumentative writing?

I’ve seen a lot of posts with ppl talking about technical issues they’ve had with doing the argumentative writing portion, and I feel like my tutor misguided me with his advice that I should worry about this after I take the LSAT. He told me my time would be better spent studying since this is my first time taking the LSAT, but now that I’ve seen so many others with their scores being delayed for various issues with the writing, I’m worried I should’ve done it when it opened. What have your experiences been with having your argumentative writing samples approved?
