Platform: Mobile - iPhone app

Genre: Strategy

Estimated year of release: Around 2010-2015

Graphics/art style: 2D. It was solely text based and had no images. The world your character moves around in is all made of black letters with a white background. Text boxes were used heavily. Different letters in the world indicated that you were approaching different things, and lots of the world/map was filled with “x” which indicated empty space. Your character was just a dot/square. Text boxes showed up when things happened. Everything was in black and white.

Notable characters: The playable character was some survivor in a post apocalyptic world searching for supplies or people. I remember encountering people called Occultists and they were important characters. Occultists provided advice or supplies, but they were also potentially dangerous.

Notable gameplay mechanics: The playable character was just a dot/square moving among a sea of letters which represented different places or people. You could move the character up/down/left/right direction for an unlimited distance. You would be searching for materials to grow stronger or for knowledge from people. You would have opportunities to use materials to fight people or make things maybe. You would collect materials and make decisions on when to use them, which direction to go, who to interact with, etc.

Other details: You are a character moving through a post apocalyptic world. The world you move through is made up of just letters, so the gameplay would look like moving through blank space (represented by “x”) until you find letters that indicate something is there. You would search abandoned outposts for loot. You would find Occultists that you speak to. You would come across some people that you would speak to or have to fight with materials you gathered.

The world/map was made entirely of letters. Different letters indicated different things. I think the “o” in the map stood for Occultists outposts and you could go to them to get knowledge or materials. The world looked something like the image recreation I’ve made.
