Nova Etiquette

I've only recently started playing Nova again after her rework, and am, tring to make sure I don't make anyone else's play worse because of it. The question I have is fast vs. slow. I understand in a defense, you usually want speed, because waves end after a certain number of kills, but in other endless missions, which version would you suggest?

I like the slow, but worry that it might slow down a survival too much to get life support etc.

so, to all the Nova mains, what do you guys think?
