Chronic pain and vaginismus
I'm just wondering how many others deal with the same issue.
I have fibromyalgia (diagnosed this year). I've dealt with it since around 7 y/o. I was wondering if anyone else has fibromyalgia or chronic pain in general? I believe my vaginismus is cause by my nervous system being completely fucked (same thing that caused my fibro).
If you deal with chronic pain, what is your experience with vaginismus? I know we all have different degrees of vaginismus, so there isn't some baseline we can go off of. But I still want to hear everyone's experiences.
My big question is: Do you think dealing with chronic pain has made it easier to deal with the pain from vaginismus? I think its "helped" me because I've always viewed pain as my normal. I can dilate to the max size with enough time, patience, horniness, and lube. Again, everyone's vaginismus is different, and I know a big part of my ability to do this has to do with my vaginismus is less severe than other people's. No one should compare themselves to another since our bodies are all vastly different along with our experiences and mental states.
This question is for everyone regardless of having chronic pain or not: How much pain do you feel before you stop trying to dilate? Any amount of pain would have most people stopping straight away, but we don't have that luxury. Pain is always a part of the process until you get fully dilated, get used to the size, and manage to stay that way.
