Used vs. new

I was planning to buy a new car next fall, but between the weird sounds my current car (a Prius) is making and the state of US politics, I'm thinking that the time to buy may actually be now-ish.

I took a quick look at some nearby available Nissan Leaf cars, and there are a few used ones and at least one new 2024 model. I should qualify for a $3500 rebate if I get it at a dealership.

What are things to watch out for in used Leaf cars? Are there any specific issues that came up for you? How much mileage is too much, in terms of coming toward the end of battery life?
