Should I get a Master?
I'm feeling really stuck in my career right now. I'm a 28-year-old marketing coordinator in Canada, working 20 hours a week at $20/hour. I’m struggling to find a full-time position or a role that offers real growth opportunities. In my current role and as the only marketing person, I’m handling email marketing, graphic design, website management, social media ads, and creating marketing materials, but my employer isn’t willing to offer more hours or any company benefits.
My bachelor’s degree is from outside Canada, and I’m wondering if that’s holding me back, even though I have four years of experience in marketing. Should I get a Masters to get better opportunities?
