I was genuinely hoping when I first heard the announcement that "Media Literacy" or "Disinformation Spread on Social Media" would be the class they were talking about.

Why not study the political and cultural condition of black citizens in the last four decades in the US? Did it need to be dressed up with a pop star to interest students? What does this prepare students for except to be a guest host on The Beat with Ari Melber? This is the kind of thing that makes the US a laughing stock, but after last week, I guess anything goes.
